The Space
Tahoe City’s River Grill, perched alongside the Truckee River by Fanny Bridge, is a favorite of locals and savvy visitors alike. In the summer, the two-tiered deck with firepit can accommodate over 100 people with river views for all.
The Food
The River Grill’s popular fare includes a seasonal menu embracing California cuisine with tasty appetizers, fresh seafood and entrees such as halibut tacos, roasted Sonoma duck breast, grilled lamb sirloin and their famous braised beef short ribs.
 The Drinks
A full bar and a happy hour (drink and appetizer specials from 5 to 6:30 p.m. daily) that’s been voted North Tahoe’s best by Sierra Sun readers this year makes the bar a happening spot in and of itself. Try one of their specialty martinis like the Milky Way, the key lime martini, or the Marga-tini.
Gotta Try
The seared ahi tuna or the gulf prawn dynamite are the perfect start to your meal. Finish with seared sea scallops or a buffalo rib eye.
Tidbit
Check out the live music on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays during the summer (call for details), and remember, the River Grill can host weddings, banquets and parties of all types in their private room featuring a stone fireplace on the private deck overlooking the river.

Appetizers start at $7, entrees up to $29.
Hours of Operation
Bar opens at 5 p.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m. daily. Happy hour 5 to 6:30 p.m. daily.
