Captain Bucko — aka Roger Paul Huff — has released his newest nautical book, and this one is a must stow guide book for all Tahoe boaters.
Captain Bucko’s Onboard Cruising Guide was a labor of love for the author, who has been boating on Tahoe for 23 years and spent the last three exploring and researching everything maritime that has to do with Tahoe.
The guide details with descriptions and GPS coordinates hidden gems of Tahoe, must see points, boat–friendly restaurants as well as weaving together historical facts, frequently asked questions, myths, local legends, safety tips, emergency information and other more general boating tips with color pictures and wry humor.
The book has everything a Tahoe boater needs from VHF frequencies for marinas and emergency agencies to price ranges and locations of lakeside restaurants with docks or ferry served bouy fields.
Huff, a lifelong boater, professional oceanographer and marine meteorologist, has written three other books including "Captian Bucko’s Nauti–Words Handbook," "Captain Bucko’s Water and Weather Handbook" and "Captain Bucko’s Galley Slave Cookbook."
Captain Bucko’s Onboard Cruising Guide is available in local bookstores, marinas, boat shops and various other local shop around the lake.
