The racing might be out on the streets of Truckee and Tahoe during the Tour de Nez bicycle races, but the action doesn't end when the riders are done. Check out these afterparties in local bars and restaurants.

Bar of America/Moody's Bistro Tour de Nez block party

Pacific Crest Grill & Bar of America along with Moody's Bistro & Lounge are sponsoring a block party in conjunction with the Tour de Nez Truckee criterium.

Come check out the live music by Shag in the afternoon, followed by Frame of Mind for dancing later in the night. There will also be a killer BBQ from 5:30-8:30 p.m., an outdoor bar open until 10 p.m., merchandise booths and more. Everything gets started at 5 p.m., so get there early and pick out a prime spot to view the races.

The party will be on Bridge Street between The Bar of America and Moody's Bistro.
 
Dragonfly deck party

Join Dragonfly restaurant on June 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as professional cyclists speed by below on their circuit through downtown Truckee. In addition to the hour-long criterium, spectators can join in the excitement of two new events, the kids’ race and the unique clunker classic. Enjoy the view from the Dragonfly's deck, as pros and amateurs alike race past on the street below.

Cheering on cyclists can be hard work, so Dragonfly has created plenty of appetizers and cocktails to keep fans entertained. Twenty dollars will gain the festive and the curious entrance to the standing room deck where passed appetizers will be on hand throughout the event. The crowd will enjoy Peloton Taster Plates, Tour de Nez Nachos and Cyclo-Springrolls to name a few. In addition, the deck will be outfitted with a cash bar with drink selections including a variety of beer, the Blood Doper, a tomato juice and sake martini, the Derailleur, a fresh lime juice and sake sour, as well as French Gatorade, a number of Dragonfly's wines. Reservations will be taken or spectators should plan to arrive early to ensure their access to the action. Once the deck party is over, fans are welcome to stay at Dragonfly for dinner or dessert.
