June 22
Prolog/Time Trial Time: 9-11 am at Verdi This is “the loop part of the Verdi Loop.” The race is roughly five miles long and includes 300 feet of climbing. The Time Trial will start at 9 am and has participants riding individually against the clock in 30-second intervals. Downtown Truckee Criterium: Time: 6:30- 7:30 pm Taking place in historic downtown Truckee, this is a one hour timed race on a 0.6 mile track. This early evening race combines the beauty of downtown Truckee with the speed of the pros.
Truckee Kids Race Time: 6:10 pm One of the largest kids’ races in the country the Tour de Nez Kids Race gets them hooked at a young age. Divided into three age groups each racer is awarded a medal at the end of the one-block race.
Truckee Clunker Classic Time: 6:10 pm Anything over 35 pounds qualifies for the Fat Tire Clunker Classic. Revelers race their sting rays, choppers, low riders and sting rays around the same course that the pros follow. Cheating is encouraged.
Tour de Nez Party Truckee Block Party Time: 8- 10 pm The best part is always the party afterwards-and the Tour de Nez knows how to throw a good party. Come meet the pros in downtown Truckee after the criterium and register to win great prizes from the Tour de Nez Sponsors
June 23
Tahoe City Road Race Time: Noon- 4:30 pm This race starts in Tahoe City, CA and then East to Kings Beach. The race then proceeds over Highway 267 to Brockway Pass and West River Street in Truckee and back into Tahoe City. The racers will ride this lap three times. Each lap is 36 miles for a total of 108 miles.
Tahoe City Expo Time: Noon-8 pm For those looking to get the scoop on “what’s hot” in the bike world, there will be an industry expo with booths, displays and demonstrations from top companies in the bike, outdoors and adventure sports industry.
Tahoe City Clunker Classic Time: 3:45 pm Anything over 35 pounds qualifies for the Fat Tire Clunker Classic. Revelers race their sting rays, choppers, low riders and sting rays around the same course that the pros follow. Cheating is encouraged.

Tahoe City Road Race Party Time: 5-8 pm After the grueling 108 mile road race the New Belgium Brewing Company is sponsoring a beach party on the shores on Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City. Come enjoy beer, games, food and fun.
June 24
Tour de Nez Century Ride Time: 8 am Century Ride Start Time: 9-11 am Ride with the Pros (invitation only) This race will test your skills. Starting at 8am at race headquarters and consisting of a 15-mile ride, metric century or a full 100-mile century, the Tour de Nez Century Ride is open to everyone who is up for challenge. This is the perfect race for the day rider, weekend warrior or just about anyone who wants to feel the wind beneath their wheels.
Tour De Nez Benefit Ride - By FreeWheelin- Time: 8am at Wingfield Park This 15-mile ride benefiting the FreeWheelin’ Foundation leaves Reno’s Wingfield Park at 8am. Participants ride along the main century route to first pit stop and back. i Tour De Nez Benefit Ride - By FreeWheelin is perfect for families and first timers. There will be rest stops along the way offering refreshments, encouragement and of course, Mint Juleps!
Expo and Party Time: 10:00 am- 10:00 pm Wingfield Park is Tour de Nez headquarters. Revelers will enjoy live music all day long, belly dancing, unique food, mint juleps, bike decorating contests, face painting and a world full of bike madness and mayhem. For those looking to get the scoop on “what’s hot” in the bike world, there will be an industry expo with booths, displays and demonstrations from top companies in the bike, outdoors and adventure sports industry.
Bike Swap Time: Noon- 6pm Come check out the Tour de Nez Bike Swap at Barbara Bennett Park, across from the downtown kayak Park. The bike swap from runs from 12-6 pm and the drop off time is 9-11 am. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Tahoe Pyramid Bikeway.
Bike Messenger & Alley Cat Races 1:00pm until Finish Bike messenger races how they were meant to be-fast and furious. Local bike messengers (at least in their minds) and wanna be messengers take to the streets to outwit and outride each other in a Tour de Nez original!
Reno Clunker Classic Time: 3:00 pm Anything goes. If it weighs over 35 pounds and has a wheel it can be part of the Clunker Classic. This one lap race follows the Criterium.
Reno Kids Race Time: 3:15 pm One of the largest kids’ races in the country, the Tour de Nez Kids Race gets them hooked at a young age. This one block race is free and open to any kid with two wheels.
The Reno Masters’ Criterium: Time: 3:30-4:30pm The granddaddy of them all! That’s where the whole Tour de Nez experience started and quickly grew into the most popular Masters’ Criterium in the country. It’s the heart of the Tour de Nez! All licensed riders over 30 years old that have a CAT 1/2/3 license.
US Handcycling Federation National Championships Criterium Time: 5:00-5:30 pm Taking place between the Masters Race and the Mighty Tour de Nez Criterium the US Handcycling Federation National Championships Criterium takes place on the Criterium course and consists of five laps. World-class athletics Candice Cable, Bruce Cornell and Mark Whelman are scheduled to compete in the event. There will also be hand cycles at the event for participants to try out.
Mighty Tour de Nez Criterium Time: 6:00-7:30 pm Beginning in downtown Reno’s Wingfield Park, the Mighty Tour de Nez Criterium follows a grueling 0.8 mile loop with 10 turns and steep climbs. The pros follow the course for one and a half hours and the master race for one hour.
Live Music and After Party Time: 8-10 pm After 3 days of non-stop cycling action, relax and enjoy the last Tour de Nez event, happening in Wingfield Park. Come enjoy live music, food, beer, and plenty of entertainment to get you pumped up for next year.
