Buyer's remorse, or ineluctable joy?
There's not a lot of middling when, as the leaves slowly start to curl, fantasy football owners endure that annual rite: a full week of obsessing over their shiny new rosters, with no action on the field to back up the bragging or reward the best laid plans.
So with the drafts all sealed, the auctioneers' gavels silent and an agonizing stretch before kickoff, there's really only one question on everyone's lips:
Who'd you get?
The Two Joshes are, not surprisingly, going into the season with rose-colored face shields.
Hoffner, whose league rolls with the traditional draft, used his No. 8 pick to snag Washington running back Clinton Portis, and was rewarded on his comeback pick with Arizona superstar-in-waiting Larry Fitzgerald.
Dickey, who raided the family treasury and burned the rest of his vacation to be present at his league's auction in Minneapolis, doled out his funny money on a scary trio of wideouts: Fitzgerald, T.O., and Roy Williams -- and still had enough dough left to take a flyer on Reggie Bush.
In this asap podcast, the Two Joshes pore over their new teams, and even find a few things to agree upon.
As in, are we feeling good about ourselves?
Oh yeah.
