At Sweet Soirée, the local community was invited to indulge in a tasting of delectable desserts prepared by the area’s finest pastry chefs on Tuesday, June 17 at the Wild Goose Restaurant.

Event goers enjoyed an evening of fine desserts, cocktails, live music and socializing with friends. All event participants were able to vote for their favorite sweet treats. There was also a cookie decorating activity for children.

The Wild Goose Restaurant’s Butterscotch and Mousse Terrine dessert.
This dessert won the Critic’s Choice award

Participating restaurants included Big Water Grille, Cottonwood Restaurant, Dragonfly, Graham's at Squaw Valley, Christy Hill Restaurant, Le Bistro, Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Pianeta Ristorante, PlumpJack Café and The Wild Goose. The chefs were vying for both a Critic’s and People’s Choice award of Tahoe’s Best Dessert.

The Critic’s Choice for Tahoe’s Best Dessert was the Wild Goose Restaurant

Sharon Dixon of Truckee, California was the raffle drawing grand prize winner – Sharon won a two-night stay at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco
