• Artists in Bloom. Arts For the Schools presents the 3rd Annual Artists in Bloom, a student art show, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dragonfly Restaurant in Truckee. Student artwork provided by students in Tahoe, Truckee and Incline Village schools will be on sale to parents, families, businesses and other patrons. Proceeds will benefit Arts For the Schools, a non-profit organization that enhances local children's education and fosters a lifelong love of the creative arts. Dragonfly is offering complimentary “teasers” and 2 for 1 entrées.
• Nevada’s third annual Nevada Wildland Awareness Week. Nevada’s third Annual Nevada Wildland Awareness Week, May 17-24, promotes awareness, understanding and action concerning the threat of wildfire in the state, in communities and homes.
