Wednesday, April 30 • Waste Warriors. The Incline Village Library presents a celebration for Earth Day with Waste Warriors. Join the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Waste Warriors from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Incline Village Library. Participants will learn how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
• Human Evolution, Health and Physical Fitness. The Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences presents “An Exploration of Human Evolution, Health and Physical Fitness” with author and exuberant animal founder Frank Forencich for an exploration of this modern human predicament. The lecture will take place at 6 p.m. in the Assembly Rooms 139 and 141 at Sierra Nevada College. A no host bar will begin at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call (775) 881-7560.
Thursday, May 1 • A Night with Warren Miller and friends. The Association of Professional Patrollers, the California Ski Industry Association and Squaw Valley USA will honor and recognize Warren Miller for his contribution to winter sports with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The program will take place at the Olympic Valley Lodge, doors open at 7:30 p.m. and a $10 donation to the Association of Professional Patrollers is required.
