Dragonfly Restaurant will host a sustainable seafood dinner featuring an educational presentation on sustainably farmed fish and cooking, followed by a multi-course feast on Thursday, April 10.
The evening will kick off with a free presentation open to the public on sustainable seafood held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tim O’Shea and Karim Machi, representatives from the group Clean Fish, will discuss the characteristics of sustainably harvested seafood.
At 6:30 p.m., those interested in experiencing the featured seafood dinner will sit down to enjoy entrees such as Loch Duart salmon, fresh laughing bird prawns from Belize, Scottish halibut, and exotic fish like Barramundi. The cost of the multi-course dinner is $50 per person. Reservations for the dinner portion of this event are strongly recommended.
During the dinner, chef/owner Billy McCullough will hand out recipes of prepared entrees featured that evening. McCullough will also discuss with guests where sustainably farmed seafood comes from, why it’s necessary for our future and what to ask at your local fish market.
