It's all about the "30 Years of Fine ‘N Funky" fashion show that went down as part of SnowFest! on Thursday, March 6 at Tahoe City's Sol y Lago restaurant.
But before you see the photos, check out this advice, provided by Lisa Arnbrister, owner and buyer for Tahoe City’s Fine ‘N Funky boutique:
• Denim, denim, denim! Choose from straight-leg, light wash, wide leg, high rise, or some combination of them.
• Lots of colorful prints: tribal prints, Pucci prints, geometric prints, tattoo-style prints... Prints are hot!
• Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle! Everything is blinged-out these days. Embrace it.
• Shoes: flats, patton leather bright colors, Ugg crochet boots, gladiator-style sandals, and high-heel-hidden-platforms are all good choices for spring.
• Accessories: gold jewelry, peace signs, rhinestones, fringe and metallic items are a must.
• For men: Tattooed shirts, light-wash jeans, straight-leg jeans, and fitted shirts.
• What’s out: camo and saggy pants. Sure it might have been cool last year, but that was so... last year.
At the fashion show, all the models were local with hair by Bella Vita and makeup by Jen Erget-Holmes of Kiss and Makeup.
