The Big Blue Adventure Series will get a snow-filled early jump on the 2008 season with the Tahoe Winter Blue Adventure Race Sunday, March 9 at Northstar-at-Tahoe.
The event offers a unique opportunity to experience a snow covered Sierra. Hosted by Northstar-at-Tahoe you will have access to backcountry terrain in North Lake Tahoe.
Snowshoes or free heel skis, teams of two, 3 to 5 hours, two free lift tickets, great swag, and a hot meal.
Prizes and awards will include products from Merrell, Salomon, Clif, National Geographic Adventure, Northstar-at-Tahoe and Ultimate Direction.

The Big Blue Adventure Series is comprised of adventurous multi-sport races and outdoor, off-road events in which teams and individuals participate and compete in a variety of activities and sport including: kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, trail running, orienteering, navigation, high ropes skills, back country and nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and other disciplines. The Big Blue Adventure Series will challenge the seasoned athlete and provide those new to adventure racing, triathlon, and trail running with an opportunity to participate and succeed in these exciting sports! We offer SPRINT events with finishing times of 2-4 hours, 6-12 hour events where the winning time is 6 hours and everyone finishes within 12 hours and 24 hour races where the winning teams and individuals finish in 18-20 hours.
