The Space
The Sierra café is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort, Spa and Casino where it is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Like the atmosphere of the entire resort, the Sierra Café is decorated with a tasteful mountain themed interior. This provides for a cozy cabin atmosphere that is comfortable for a quiet evening meal or casual enough for enjoying a quick breakfast before heading off to the slopes.

The Sierra Café is open for all day dinning. But it also offers a place to have a quick snack, a late night dessert or something from their special Parlor Classics menu featuring Haagen –Dazs ice cream selections.

The Food
Sierra’ café’ menus feature casual American cuisine. Their Chef, Alan Kubler, prepares creations that are sure to please everyone in the family from the vegetarian to the meat lover. The menus are changed about twice a year and they will be changing the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus soon so watch for new menus. But don’t miss the dessert menus. The talented pastry chef, Guido Landolt prepares some of the most fabulous desserts outside of Switzerland!

The Drinks
Sierra Café’s wine list is both adequate and compliments the dinner menu selections. It includes many California winery selections including some Robert Mondavi Private selections in both Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon but they also have champagne and sparkling wines available for that special occasion. Wines range from $7.50 per glass up to $12 or a bottle ranges from $32 up to $102!

Gotta Try
The grille Ahi Tuna with lemon grass basmati rice and chili beurre blanc! An elegant and special treat. Not only is the presentation fantastic but the tuna was perfect! The salads at the Sierra Café are always extremely fresh and crisp.

The dinner buffet selections include prime rib and even some outstanding elk tenderloins with a huckleberry sauce. Plus the buffet is the perfect way to sample all of the desserts. But don’t overlook other interesting menus selections either. But do plan to arrive early on a Friday or Saturday night as the café is a popular location.

Tidbit
The Sierra Café’s buffets are spectacular! Every Friday and Saturday night the Sierra Café offers its fabulous dinner buffet. On Saturday and Sunday the breakfast buffet and omelet station is incredible.
