Jam For The Cure Sugar Bowl is teaming up with Boarding for Breast Cancer and The HERA Foundation to race and jam for the cure on Feb. 14. The resort will be holding a Dual Giant Slalom race in the Christmas Tree Race Arena and a rail jam in the Switching Yard Terrain Park. All entry fees from these events will go to help find a cure for breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Sugar Bowl will have many sponsors on hand supporting the cause.
All proceeds from the race and rail jam will be donated to these charities. They will also be donating $3 per lift ticket from all the participants. Get ready to show off your pink because we have pink lanyards for sale. Show your season pass off in style, get yours before they are gone.
Who is the race supporting? Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. Valentine’s Day at the Steak & Lobster House On Valentines Day, the Crystal Bay Casino’s Steak & Lobster House will be offering a four course prix-fixe menu from the kitchen of Chef Geno Duggan along with a complete tableside dinner for two. These Valentine specials are in addition to our regular menu offerings and are priced at $125 per couple. Where’s the Love Scavenger Hunt, Squaw Valley USA Skiers and riders can explore Squaw Valley and search for hidden magnetic hearts. Finders of the hearts can take them to the après ski party at Plaza Bar (details below) for redemption of prizes such as lift tickets, ski and snowboard lessons, gift certificates to shops, bars and restaurants and more. Pedals and Pucks Romantic Dinner and Ice Skating at High Camp Couples can take in the romantic décor, Siberia bowl views and the tea light-lit ambiance of the Poolside Café for a special chef’s dinner. Valentine’s Weekend Book Tour Local Squaw skier (from Mighty Mite to 2-time Olympian) Edie Thys Morgan and Cindy Pierce, authors of “Finding the Doorbell: Sexual Satisfaction for the Long Haul” will be appearing at Wild Cherries in Truckee on Friday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m., and at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb.16 at Bar One in Squaw Valley. This is the first stop on their “Better Sex for the People” après ski tour. The authors will talk about their discoveries in writing the book, address the questions you never had the guts to ask and answer any and all audience questions regarding the keys to sustainable sex.
Lift your Love at Diamond Peak Take your love to a higher level by enjoying an intimate Valentine’s Day Dinner at the Snowflake Lodge on Feb. 14. Catch a chairlift up to our mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge where you’ll be treated to an amazing sunset over Lake Tahoe while being served an incredible five course dinner paired with wine.
