The Space Choose from a cozy booth, tables that can be configured to seat any size party, or counter dining at this locals’ favorite, founded 26 years ago by Ed Prado. High ceilings and natural light give the dining room a spacious, airy ambiance.
The Food Voted Best Pizza by Sierra Sun readers for three years running, Village Pizzeria offers a choice of original hand-tossed, deep-dish and double-crust stuffed pizza in four sizes. Diners can also choose from a full menu of salads, pastas and entrees. Starters include garlic chips, pesto chips, hot wings and garlic bread.
The Drinks A nice variety of domestic and imported beer is available by the bottle or on draught. Wine lovers will want to try one of the Italian Chiantis or selections from California’s wine country, all of which accompany the kitchen’s Italian specialties perfectly.
Gotta Try Customers rave about Village Pizzeria’s artichoke/spinach ravioli, which includes chicken breast, sundried tomato, proscuitto and sage in a lemon cream sauce. Other specialties include chicken parmigiana, chicken marsala and chicken piccata.
Price Range Piadine sandwiches go for about $9 for lunch, pizzas from $8 to $27, and dinner entrees range from $12 to $16.
Hours of Operation Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
