Lobsang Samten, Tibetan Master of Buddhist Philosophy, Sutra and Tantra, will again visit the Tahoe Area. He’ll be creating a traditional Tibetan Sand Mandala Saturday Aug. 12 to Saturday, Aug. 19 in the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City.
Called “The Wheel of Life,” this ancient Tibetan 2,600-year-old Mandala reflects information about the nature of the human mind, demonstrates cyclic existence, and addresses the illusion of permanence. Donations accepted at the door.
The Sand Mandala Opening Ceremony begins at noon on Aug. 12 in the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City. Following a short ceremony of Tibetan chants, Losang will begin creating the mandala. The public is invited to attend. Suggested Donation: $10 Location: Upstairs in the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City.
