The Space
Set in the always festive Crystal Bay Club, the Bistro Elise is a cozy, traditional Italian Bistro furnished with antique chairs and beautifully designed tables shipped straight from Italy.

Owner and namesake Elise Norman said she planned the environmentally friendly Bistro’s look according to traditional European design. A fireplace greets guests as they enter and they can get a look at their organic food selection when they place an order at the Bistro’s counter.

The Food
In keeping with the Bistro’s eco-friendly atmosphere, anything you order at Bistro Elise comes with potato-based utensils on completely recycled dishes.
The menu reflects Norman’s interest in healthy, fresh organic dining. From omelets to French Toast and potatoes, the Bistro Elise serves breakfast all day. Burgers are served on a wheat bun with a side salad, but feel free to go all out on the green stuff. The Chopped Asian salad features chopped chicken breast and is tossed in an Asian dressing and is a great way to start any non-breakfast meal at the Bistro.

Also look out for the pasta menu, which features big hearty plates of Fettuccini Alfredo, Cappellini Pomodoro and Pasta Primavera. With no trans-fats you can also try casino favorites like fries, burgers and wings without worrying about the health effects.

The drinks
If you’re in a Bistro, you’d better try the coffee and the Bistro Elise has it all. Caffe Latte, Caffe Americana and Cappuccino are the more traditional selections, mixed with the more adventurous Gingerbread Latte, Orange Mocha and Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Gotta Try
The Bistro’s Panini selection is a must try, as different paninis are available nearly every week. A bacon and grilled chicken panini is perfect for breakfast or later in the day and the Bistro cooks it in the traditional fashion at a piping hot 390 degrees.

Tidbit
Once you’re full, one of the Bistro’s most interesting features is it’s commitment to a green operation. Vegetable oil is recycled, utensils are made of tubers (though you can’t tell they are potato-based, they look normal). And, to-go boxes for those will full bellies are made of recycled sugar cane.

Price Range
The breakfast menu fluctuates between $5 and $9, depending on what you order. Dinners range between $7.50 and $9.50, including salads, burgers and sandwiches. Coffees range between $1.50 and $4.50 and you can top it all off with a delicious natural frozen yogurt which costs between $2.95 and $5.

Hours of Operation
6:30 a.m. to midnight, though a 24-hour schedule is in the works and expected by the Fourth of July.

Location
Crystal Bay Casino, located at 14 State Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, Nev.
