Take one part classic vaudeville, two parts sexy burlesque, throw in a little magic, some hobo tales, and set it all to the sounds of a rockin’ gypsy band, and you just might concoct the Yard Dogs Traveling Road Show, which will be stopping by the Crown Room at the Crystal Bay Club this Saturday, May 3, to blow the minds of everyone in attendance.
A troupe of entertaining misfits and storytellers, the Yard Dogs are reminiscent of the traveling side shows that used to perform coast to coast during the glory days of American carnivals, but with a contemporary, and wicked, sense of humor. A sword-swallowing magician, a fire-eating swami, a blonde guitar god, and a woman who could gargle hobo love songs all kept audience members on the edge of their seats the last time the Yard Dogs came through Tahoe. And the girls... The girls knocked them right off.
Words can hardly do justice to the sights and sounds of that evening, so logon to Tahoe-World.com now to see a slideshow of images from a past Yard Dogs show at the Crown Room.
