Could Incline’s Mardi Gras be better than New Orleans?
Well maybe if you don’t like planes.
And, like the real thing, Diamond Peak’s Ski Education Foundation’s Mardi Gras Gala is a lot of fun. The nonprofit Foundation invites everyone to celebrate the spirit of the Carnival season in style at their annual night of “fun raising” at this year’s Benefit Gala. The event is Saturday, Feb. 2, from 5 to 11 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center (Parasol Building) in Incline Village.
Get out your masks, beads, and dancing shoes and join friends and festive revelers for an evening of camaraderie, comedy, hurricanes, wine tasting, dinner, auction and dancing to fabulous music.
Silent and live auctions will include fine jewelry, spa services, custom photography by Strotz Photography, fine wines, horseback riding lessons, ArrowCreek golf, Oakland A’s baseball tickets, Boston Red Sox tickets, architectural services, a Ladies Bliss Night with wine tasting and delectable bliss bites prepared by Margie Lapanja, season passes and lift tickets to various ski resorts, and much more.
Tickets for this charitable bash are $75 per person, $130 per couple. Businesses and individual patrons are also invited to support the Team by sponsoring a table at the Gala. By donating $1000, you and/or your business become a “Gold Medal” table sponsor with seating for ten guests. You’ll also receive two chairbacks ($200 value) on the Crystal Express Chairlift at Diamond Peak featuring your name and your name or logo will be printed up on team shirts. A $850 “Silver Medal” table contribution offers seating for ten in addition to two Crystal Express Chair Back signs, while a “Bronze Medal” donation of $750 secures a table for ten at the party.
The Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation (DPSEF) is a nonprofit organization that provides developmental and racing programs for skiers of all levels and abilities.
