Alpine Meadows presents the Snowbomb Sundays In The Park. This season-long competition will span nine Sundays starting this Sunday, Jan. 27. Open to skiers and snowboarders who can’t get enough terrain park action, Alpine Meadows will feature nine different rails, boxes, wallrides, slopestyle runs and jumps throughout the series.
“This will be the second year for Sundays In The Park,” Alpine Meadows public relations manager Rachael Woods said. “Sundays In The Park is great because it’s a fun, low-pressure park event for both skiers and snowboarders. The competition is really friendly and it takes place on a different feature each week.”
Cold hard cash, gear and swag will be awarded at every Sundays In The Park from Alpine Meadows and supporting sponsor Snowbomb. Each competition will have a winner in a single men’s and single women’s division. Three women must be registered for each competition to warrant a women’s division, so get on out there and show your skills, ladies.
Registration is free. A lift ticket or valid season pass is required to compete. Skiers and snowboarders can sign up at the Kangaroo terrain park building from 9 to 10 a.m. Competition starts at 11 a.m. Helmets are required in order to compete.
