The Space
Located in the center of Incline Village in the Tantara Plaza, Tahoe resident and owner La-Eard Chongolnee has put her heart and soul into the menu and ambiance of Thai Recipe. Asian influenced wall hangings, photographs and trinkets displayed around the comfortable dining space creates a authentic feel, without having to travel too far.
The Food
Thai Recipe serves a variety of dishes including appetizers, salads, soups, curry, noodle and rice dishes, desserts and a wide range of Thai entrees. Food substitutions such as tofu, chicken, fresh vegetables and shrimp can be made in every dish. Any palate can be accommodated. Its hot and spicy scale of 1-5, 5 being the hottest, can spice up any dish.
 The Drinks
Thai Recipe has a select wine list and special Thai beverages.
Gotta Try
The most popular dish on the menu, also the house special, is the Pad Thai. The traditional Thai dish includes noodle with shrimp and chicken stir-fried with tofu, egg, bean sprouts and green onion.
Also on the menu is a variety of delicious appetizers; the Thai Recipe Delight is an assorted dish of apps — a great pick if you can’t decide.
 Tidbit
Owner La-Eard Chongolnee’s philosophy is reflected in the food, “do your best, make the best food.” The best products, freshest ingredients and seasonings are used in every dish. Nothing is pre-made, not even the sauces.
Chongolnee wrote “Thai Recipe 1,2,3” a cookbook with her recipes and secrets to delicious Thai food. The cookbook can be found at the restaurant.
Price Range
 Quality food and affordable pricing is hard to find at the lake but Thai Recipe fits the bill. A daily lunch special is $7.45 and includes steamed rice or Pad Thai, salad and a choice of one entree (served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.).
No dinner dish is more than $15, the average dish is about $9.95. All entrees come with steamed rice.
