Dragonfly restaurant, located in downtown Truckee, will host the sixth annual KidZone benefit evening featuring the addition of the Art and Culture Council of Truckee Tahoe as a partial beneficiary on Thursday, Sept. 27.
Owner's of Dragonfly, chef Billy McCullough, and wife Phebe Bell, and staff of the restaurant will be donating their time, as well as all proceeds to make this event a successful fundraiser for the KidZone Museum and the newly formed Art and Culture Council of Truckee Tahoe. KidZone is a place where parents take their children ages 0-5 to play, take art and science classes, and explore hands-on interactive exhibits.
The Art and Culture Council of Truckee Tahoe is a volunteer group that advocates for the arts and art education in the community. Combining efforts with the KidZone makes for a great partnership, based on the KidZone's efforts to collaborate with many local artists in the community to provide art classes and cultural events.
 The cost of the event is $60 per person, which includes a four-course meal, an art and ski auction, entertainment and free babysitting at the KidZone for the first 45 children signed up. Parents should call the KidZone at (530) 587-5437 to make a reservation.
The restaurant will open at 5 p.m. and will take dinner reservations throughout the evening. Please call Dragonfly (530) 587-0557 for reservations or for more information about the benefit dinner. Dragonfly is located upstairs at 10118 Donner Pass Road.
