Sept. 25-30 Lake Tahoe Marathon week
Runners and walkers have a host of events to choose from, including the popular 20-Mile Power Walk and Run, a non-competitive event; the Marathon, coined “a Saturday morning run you’ll never forget,” that winds down the West Shore from Tahoe City to South Lake Tahoe for a post-run bash; Tahoe Triple (three marathons in three consecutive days); 72-Mile Ultra Run; 3-Day Triathlon; Marathon Relays; Half Marathon; 10K; 5K; ; 35 or 72-Mile Bike Races; Kayaking and Paddling events; free Kids Fun Run and Speed Golf.

Sept. 27-29 Run three marathons in three days at Tahoe Triple
Ultra runners can run the ultimate race at the Lake Tahoe Marathon, the Tahoe Triple (scheduled for Sept. 27-29), which includes three marathons in three consecutive days through two states with the last marathon corresponding with the Lake Tahoe Marathon.
Also offered is the Super Triple, in its second year, which includes two marathons in two consecutive days (Thursday and Friday) and then a 72-mile race beginning at midnight (Saturday at 12:01 a.m.). Some participants will also do the Quadzilla, running the Tahoe Triple and then a fourth marathon on Sunday at another race.

Registration includes the Tahoe Triple Dinner scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the Horizon Casino Resort in South Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Triple Dinner gives runners an opportunity to pick up their Tahoe Triple gear early, as well as go over race details and meet past winners who will speak about the course and give insight for participating in consecutive races.
A cash purse prize of $500 will be awarded to the first overall man and woman winners. All participants will receive finishers medal, windshirt, license plate holder, hooded sweatshirt, commemorative plaque and racing singlet. The Tahoe Triple event leader will wear a yellow singlet, to signify their standing, day two and three of the race.

Sept. 30 Free kids fun run part of Tahoe Marathon Week
It’s Fun Day Sunday at the Lake Tahoe Marathon Sunday, Sept. 30 when the Lake Tahoe Marathon hosts a series of free Kids Fun Runs for toddlers to age 12, approximately 10:30 a.m., after the 5K event at Pope Beach in South Lake Tahoe, California.
The Kids Fun Runs are sponsored by the South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club. All children receive a finisher’s medial, hot dog, drink and official runner’s race bib.
